Fresh as a Daisy

With all of the studies linking deodorant and antiperspirants to health problems, such as cancer and Alzheimer's, why not switch to a more natural product.   I have tried every product on the shelves of health food stores across the country and finally found one that is worth sharing.  It is called Real Purity

Real Purity is made from minerals from the Earth, nothing synthetic.  The ingredients include : Purified Water, Minerals, Guar Gum, Irish Moss, Glycerin, Aloe, Seaweed, Vegetable Silica, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Olive Leaf Extract, Vitamins A & E, Sandalwood Oil, Lavender Oil and Grapefruit.

Because Real Purity has a natural scent, it can be used by men and women.

Lastly, some new studies have found aluminum in breast, pregnant and breastfeeding women be careful of antiperspirants and deodorants!

The stomach flu is everywhere!  All three of my kids had it a few weeks ago.  Hopefully, it will bypass your house, but if it doesn't, I wanted to share a new product that I found.

We have all heard that when out kids have the stomach flu we need to keep them hydrated.   Once kids are eating again, most doctors recommend the BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce and toast) Diet.   This products soothes and helps heal the tummy as well as replacing electrolytes.  Check it out on

I tried the Chocolate and Honey and the Cinnamon Toast, they taste delicious.

Sharing is Caring

Some of my friend may consider me a "know-it-all", others appreciate the information that I share.  I received an email today from Healthy Child, Healthy World and it may as well be my motto.  I am forwarding it to all of you, because this is how I feel and why I started this blog.

Please watch the video and share with your friends.

THe Perfect Kids Toothpaste

For the past 5 years, in conjunction with my kids dentist, I have been trying to find the perfect kids toothpaste. Each time I take the kids to the dentist, I bring along my newest "find". And, each time she shoots me down. One has Sodium Laurel Sulfate, one has stevia not xylitol, and one has vegetable juice to color (which she considers sugar). Yesterday, between my "finds" and her additional research, she presented me with the perfect kids toothpaste. It is called "Natural Dentist, Healthy Teeth and Gums" in an orange zest flavor. Don't be fooled by the pink tube with the kitty cat, it has vegetable juice.

Why is Natural Dentist. Healthy Teeth and Gums the perfect toothpaste?
NO Sodium Laurel Sulfate
Natural Fluoride
Orange Zest
Original with Xylitol
Helps Prevent Cavities
No Harsh, Chemicals and No Artificial Dyes, Sweeteners or Preservatives

Happy Brushing!

Dirty Water!

The Environmental Working Group released data from a 3 year study of tap water in 100 US cities (with populations of 250,000 or more). Los Angeles ranked 83 out of 100, with 1 being the best tap water. Yuck! Make sure that you are using proper water filters in home.

Cold Remedies

My youngest daughter woke up with a cold in the middle of the night! First one this season for her. I started her this morning on a vitamin and herb program, which usually stops it from turning into anything more than an annoying runny nose.

The first supplement that I always give at the first sign of a cold is Childlife First Defense. It is herbs and minerals that support the immune system. You can buy Childlife First Defense at Whole Food and read more about it online at

The second supplement that I give is a probiotic, which is the "good bacteria" in our bodies. I have used many different brands, Natren powder for babies, Yum-Yum dopholis and Primadopholis Kids (the kids think this one tastes the best).

The last supplement is Vitamin D. Since my youngest daughter cannot take the chewable yet, I give her the Carlson's Vitamin D drops for babies.

Feel better soon, Baby!

Apple Cider Vinegar

Hi Followers (if I still have any),

My middle daughter came down with laryngitis this afternoon. I was frantically trying to find a natural remedy that would clear her up before Thanksgiving tomorrow. A friend told me that she put 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar in her kids humidifier at night to combat congestion. I decided to give it a try. My daughter has been sleeping for 2 hours and breathing well. I'll update you tomorrow and let you know if it was a miracle worker.

Also, I researched apple cider vinegar remedies and it is the number one home remedy for, I am going to make her drink it in the morning.
